my-IAM PeopleConnect Release – Better search for contacts in Teams
FirstAttribute AG releases a new version of my-IAM PeopleConnect, the enterprise service for quickly finding colleagues and connecting with them in Microsoft Teams. This not only simplifies the search for the right contact person in the company, but also the organization of contacts.
Contact search in Teams made easy
In the new update, my-IAM PeopleConnect offers an intelligent search function that finds exactly the right contact in the company. This includes automated contact suggestions based on user behavior, which display a selection of potential contacts.
As an application integrated with Microsoft Teams, PeopleConnect centralizes all contacts in one place. By including various data sources, all important internal and external contacts are displayed. Thus, contact management is many times easier than users having to use different applications.
Contacts are individually sorted and clearly displayed via the flexible and friendly contacts dashboard.
External contacts are different from internal contacts.
Even conference rooms can be displayed.
Users can decide whether to display their contacts as tiles or a list.
A high configurability offers companies a strong individualization of the display of all contacts. This not only creates room for company-specific descriptions, but also shows an understanding of the different requirements of our customers.

Smart search and find – Who is who?
PeopleConnect facilitates the search for contacts by providing a more comprehensive search than the native Microsoft Teams search. The advanced search beyond standard attributes is particularly helpful. Skills and qualifications, among other things, are queried, making it possible to search and find more specifically.
As a smart address book, Who is who? offers a convincing alternative to conventional address lists and phone books. It accesses up-to-date data from multiple sources and makes it available to all employees in Teams.
Connect quickly – GetConnected
There are many contact options in PeopleConnect to connect with colleagues. Besides the usual options (chat, video call, phone call), there is a direct option to book a meeting in the Teams calendar.
With the intelligent GetConnected Dashboard, my-IAM PeopleConnect offers a selection of potential contacts. For better clarity, it sorts them by categories, such as “My Team”, “My Department” or “Project XY”.
Latest data – MyProfile
As a further highlight, PeopleConnect enables employees to update their own profile in Self Update. This allows employees to save their skills, experience, languages and interests, which in turn enriches the search results.
In this way, colleagues help each other with information about who knows what and can help.
Especially in larger companies, this is a real added value, because it creates additional transparency.
Global directory centralized in Teams
As a global directory, my-IAM PeopleConnect brings together all contacts in the company. Data sources can be M365/Azure AD, other databases and directories, telephone systems, the intranet or Excel/CSV files.
A fast repository maps the sources and displays the contacts logically and clearly.
In this way, users have a better overview of their network.
